Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Chemical Classification

OSHA has announced they are moving ahead with the implementation of the United Nations Globally Harmonized System of Chemical Classification (GHS) of labeling.

This synchronized system covers hazardous chemicals that include substances, mixtures and preparations. It was developed to better unify chemical standards and classifications across the world in order to increase safety in international commerce.

Graphic Products' white paper discusses the Globally Harmonized System of Chemical Classification (GHS) and defines information found on GHS labels. The GHS white paper provides information about six required elements of a GHS label, including: signal words, hazard statements, precautionary statements, pictograms, product identifiers, and supplier identifications.
