Reflective - Phosphorescent - Removable - Wire / Cable Labels
Specialty Labeling Supplies
At times a specialized material may be needed to make the appropriate label or sign. A variety of specialized supplies are available for the DuraLabel printer. These supplies are designed for specific applications.
 High Visibility Supplies: Reflective tapes provide high visibility under low light conditions. The labels shown to the left where photographed under low light conditions. The upper label is a reflective label. The lower label is made from non-reflective vinyl.
Reflective tapes might be used indoors where poor lighting conditions exist. Outdoors they are excellent for making labels and signs that must be viewed from a distance or at night.
The DuraLabel can tile strips of tape to create larger signs, such as parking lot and traffic control signs (that usually need to be reflective).
 Glow-In-The-Dark (Phosphorescent): When you need labels and signs that are visible during a power outage, phosphorescent labels provide a reliable (no power required) method of communicating important information. Under normal lighting they will have black printing on a white background. In the dark the label or sign will glow green, resulting in black printing on a green background.
In addition, phosphorescent tapes can be used to outline doors, mark stairs to prevent tripping, and identify emergency exit routes.
Removable Labels: At times it is advantageous to have labels or signs that can easily be repositioned. For example, temporary labels might be used for warehouse shelves... with the labels changing as the inventory changed. DuraLabel makes vinyl tapes that have a less aggressive adhesive. This allows labels and signs to be applied, and then removed and re-applied in a different location.
 Wire and Cable Labels: DuraLabel supplies include both shrink tube and self-laminating wire wraps.
Shrink tubes are applied to wires before they are terminated. The are made from polyolefin, a material that shrinks when heated. Shrink tubes provide long-lasting, durable wire labels.
Another option for labeling wires and cables are self-laminating wire wraps. These are labels with a long, clear "tail." The label is applied to the wire and the tail wrapped around the wire and over the label, providing a clear (lamination) covering that protects the label.
Low Temperature (Cold Storage) Labels: When you need to use labels and signs in a location that is always cold, such as inside a cold storage freezer, DuraLabel has the tape that will get the job done. Low temperature tapes have a special adhesive that allows them to be applied at temperatures as low as -10 degrees F.
 Valve Tags and Sign Blanks - DuraLabel supplies include heavy duty plastic valve tags and sign blanks.
Valves are a typical application for tags because valves rarely have a surface on which a label can be applied. Vinyl labels printed using the DuraLabel can be applied to the blanks, which are then attached to the valve to make study, durable valve tags.
Tags are also used to label devices such as actuators, instruments, transmitters, tubing and small pipes, dampers, levers and gauges.
