Using The Size Menu
Push the SIZE button to select the
print size for your text. The printer will display the
default setting of AUTO SIZE and wait for you to enter
a size. Press DEL to accept auto sizing or type a different
size and press ENTER. Valid sizes that can be entered
in the range of 4 to 72 point.

When printing in the auto mode the
K5100 will show the point size being printed. See the
example below:

If you select AUTO SIZE, the K5100
will automatically adjust the print size based on the
number of lines in the label, and the width of the label
material. If you turn AUTO SIZE off, the size print
you select must take into account the number of lines
on your label and the width of the label material.
If AUTO SIZE calculates a point size
smaller than 4 point, an error message will be displayed.
If the text you have typed is too
large, an error message will be displayed.
The table below can be used as a guide
for selecting text sizes. The table assumes that characters
of all the same size (capital letters) are being printed.
When using characters of varying size, such as a combination
of upper and lower case letters, or accented characters,
or when using character styles (bold, italic, etc.),
the maximum point sizes will vary slightly.
