The four steps for installing a K5100
cartridge are illustrated above.
1.Use your finger to wind the ribbon
spool on the bottom of the supply cartridge counter-clockwise
two full turns in the direction of the arrow.
2.
Insert the cartridge into thecartridge cavity with the
lock/release knob turned counter-clockwise and the excess
material threaded through the exit slot.
3. Turn the lock/release knob
clockwise to lock the cartridge into place.
4. Press the FEED button and
the K5100 is ready to create a label.
The arrow points to the lock/release knob. It
is in a horizontal position, which is the release
(unlocked) position.
Notice the small section of white label tape
coming out of the printer through the slot on
the lower right.
The lock/release knob has been turned clockwise
to lock the cartridge into place.
