Making Shrink Tube Labels

The following example shows how to print shrink tubes used for labeling wires. The shrink tube slips over the end of the wire, thus they must be put on wires before the wire is terminated.

Shrink tubes come as flattened material in shrink tube cartridges. Insert a shrink tube cartridge into your K5100 for this example.

To start a new label (file), press the FILE key and select NEW with the ENTER key. Or you can use SHIFT-FILE as a short cut.

trouble Shooting Tip: If you create a shrink tube label and it does not print, a possible cause is that you did not start a NEW file. Starting a NEW file causes the K5100 to detect that a shrink tube cartridge has been installed.

In this example we are keeping Auto Size ON.

Type the following text: "File Server".
