To use a shortcut, first hold down
the SHIFT or ALT key, then press the second key.

The SPACE key can be used to select
multiple items on a menu. For example, in the STYLE
MEnu, if you want BOLD and ITALIC on at the same time,
simply use the cursor keys and the SPACE key to select
these options. Then exit fromthe menu by pushing the
DEL key.
HOT keys are represented by a capitalized
letter in most function key menus (i.e. _New _Open _Save).
For example, the FILE Menu is selected. By pressing
the letter "N", a new file will be selected
without having to use the cursor and ENTER keys. HOT
keys turn menu options on and off. And they also act
as a shortcut to submenus. Note: The function key must
be selected first before using the hot keys. Hot keys
only work in the function mode.
