Kroy K5100 Online Tutorial - Updating Firmware

Updates for firmware can be found on the K5100 drivers page of this web site.

1. Connect the serial cable to a COM port on your computer and to your K5100 printer.

2. Download the updated file from our web site.

3. Save the file on your PC. Please make a note of where you saved the file.

4. Go to your computer's START MENU; go to SETTINGS and select PRINTERS.

5. Right click on the K5100 driver and go to properties.

6. Click on CONTROL and go to the ADVANCED OPTIONS.

7. Select Download Firmware from the menu and click UPDATE.

8. A warning will appear. Click YES to continue.

9. Select the firmware file and click OPEN.

10. The printer will then update the file.

The LCD screen will show the progress of the download using the pound sign across the bottom. The K5100 will show a receiving and an updating display.

11. The update is now complete.
