Block Length Function (B.LENGTH)
Normally, the length of each text block automatically
adjusts to fit the length of the entered text. However,
with the Block Length function, you can set each
text block to a length between 0.25" and 38.84"
(0.6 cm and 99.5 cm).
To change the Block Length setting:
Hold
down the CODE key and press the GLOBAL or BLOCK key.
| NOTE |
|
This
step may be skipped if the settings for several
format functions are being applied at the same
time.
|
Press
the left/right cursor keys until B.LENGTH is displayed.
The current setting is shown in the left center of
the display. A diagram showing illustrating the block
margin is shown on the right side of the display.

Use
the up/down cursor keys to select the desired block
length setting. Or use the number keys to type in
the desired block length. Press RETURN to save this
setting.
To return to the text without making any changes,
push the CANCEL key.
| NOTE |
|
To
change the setting in 0.1" (1.0 cm) steps,
hold down either the up or down cursor key until
the desired setting is reached.
To
return the function to its default setting (AUTO),
press the space bar.
The
block length is displayed in the currently selected
unit of measurement (inches or centimeters).
The unit of measurement can be changed with
the Setup Functions.
|
| NOTE |
|
To
apply several format settings, continue to use
the left/right and up/down cursor keys to make
selections until you have selected all of the
desired settings.
Only after all settings have
been selected should the RETURN key be pushed
to apply those settings.
