KSun 9600Ki Tutorial - Connecting the 9600Ki to a PC

The 9600Ki is equipped with a USB port, allowing you to use a USB cable to connect the printer to your computer. Once connected to your computer and can print labels using the Editor Software.

NOTE

9600KI User Notes Do not connect the 9600Ki to the computer before installing the Editor software, otherwise it may not be installed correctly. Follow the software installation procedure in the user's manual to install the Editor software and printer driver—and connect the 9600Ki to your computer when you are instructed to do so.

USB Cable

1 ) To connect a computer to the 9600Ki through the USB port. First, be sure the 9600KI is turned off.

2 ) Insert the flat (A) connector on the USB cable into a USB port on the computer.

3 ) Insert the square (B) connector on the USB cable into the USB port on the right side of the 9600Ki. See the image below.

After the 9600Ki is connected to a computer using a USB cable, the 9600Ki enters Interface mode when data is sent to it from the computer.

To exit Interface mode for a USB connection and return to the text, press any key.

The 9600Ki can not enter Interface mode for a USB connection while it is printing, feeding tape or in Interface mode for an RS-232C connection, or while a macro is being assigned to a PF key.
