Delete A File That Has Been Saved
Hold
down the CODE key and press the MEMORY key. The Memory
Screen appears.

An
Auto Format template that has been stored in the
memory can be deleted by holding down the CODE
key and pressing the MEMORY key from the Auto
Format Function.

Press
the up or down cursor key until the check mark moves
next to the word CLEAR (as shown below).

Press
the RETURN key. The CLEAR screen appears in the display
with the currently selected file number.

To
quit the Clear function without recalling any
text, press the CANCEL key.

Press
the up or down cursor keys until the file number containing
the text you wish to delete is displayed. The file name
is shown beside the file number, and the text stored
in the selected file is shown at the bottom of the display.

To
see other parts of the selected text file, press
either the left or right cursor keys.
Auto
format template files of the same tape width are
displayed grouped together.

Press
the SPACE BAR so that a check mark appears to the right
of the filename.

Repeat
steps 4 and 5 until a check appears to the right of
all files to be deleted. Files marked with a check (as
shown above) will be deleted.

If
multiple files are to be deleted, follow steps
5 and 6 to mark them with a check. If only one
file is to be deleted, steps 5 and 6 can be skipped.
To
select all of the files in the memory, hold down
the CODE key and press the SPACE BAR.
To
remove a file from those that are to be deleted,
select the file, then press the SPACE BAR to remove
the check from the right side of the file name.

Press
the RETURN key. The message "OK TO CLEAR? appears.
If all of the stored files were selected, the message
"CLEAR ALL?" appears.

If you wish to change the selection of files, press
the CANCEL key. You'll then be able to add and remove
checks from files. To delete all checked files, press
the RETURN key.
