Frame Function (FRAME)
With the FRAME Function you can
choose from a variety of frames and highlights for
emphasizing selected parts, or all of the text on
a label.
When any setting other than OFF is selected for
the text at the cursor's current position, the FRAME
indicator at the top of the display comes on. The
lines on the right side of the indicator, starting
from the top, show whether the FRAME setting is applied
to the entire text, the block or the line.

A FRAME may be applied globally,
for a block, or for
individual lines.
To add a FRAME to the text on a label:
Place
the cursor in the block or line of text to be framed
(this is not required for global framing in which
everything on the label will be framed).
Hold
down the CODE key and press either the GLOBAL, BLOCK
or LINE keys.
| NOTE |
|
This
step may be skipped if the settings for several
format functions are being applied at the same
time.
|
Press
the left/right cursor keys until FRAME is displayed.
A sample of the frame style can be seen on the right
side of the display.

Use
the up/down cursor keys to select the desired frame
style When you have the frame you want displayed,
push the RETURN key to apply the frame.
To return to the text without making any changes,
push the CANCEL key.
| NOTE |
|
If
"*****" appears as a setting, a frame
has already been applied to part of the current
text. For example:
A line in the current block
has a frame, and a Block or Global frame is
being set.
OR
A block has a frame, and a
Global frame is being set.
Changing the setting will
cancel the setting that was previously applied.
To
return the function to its default setting (OFF),
press the space bar.
|
| NOTE |
|
To
apply several format settings, continue to use
the left/right and up/down cursor keys to make
selections until you have selected all of the
desired settings.
Only after all settings have
been selected should the RETURN key be pushed
to apply those settings.
