Storing Text and Auto Format Templates
To save a text file:
Hold
down the CODE key and press the MEMORY key. The Memory
Screen appears.

Press
the up or down cursor key until the check mark moves
next to the word STORE (as shown above).
Press
the RETURN key. The STORE screen appears in the display
with the currently selected file number. The type of
file is also indicated: FILE (for normal text files)
as shown below:
| NOTE |
|
If
the maximum number of characters has already been
stored, the error message "MEMORY FULL"
appears in the display. If this occurs, an existing
text file must be deleted before the new one can
be stored.
To
quit the STORE Function without storing the text,
push the CANCEL key. The image below shows the
display for a text file.
|

Press
the up or down cursor keys until the file number where
you wish to store the text is displayed. File numbers
that are not flashing are available for storing a file.
Type
in the desired file name. The image below shows the
display you would see if you were saving text in file
number 0 (zero) using the name "NAMETAG".
The two drawings show text being stored for a tape template
and a label template.

| NOTE |
|
The
file name can be up to eight characters long and
can contain letters, numbers, symbols, spaces
and accented characters.
|
Press
the RETURN key. The text is stored under the selected
file number. The text previously shown in the display
disappears.
| NOTE |
|
If
a file is already stored under the selected file
number, the message "OVERWRITE?" appears
in the display. You then need to decide whether
or not to overwrite the previously saved file.
(Overwrite means to delete the text from memory
and store the next text.)
|
To Overwrite the Stored File With The New One:
Press the RETURN key to delete the previously stored
file and store the new file under the selected number.
| NOTE |
|
To
go back and choose another file number without
overwriting the text file, press the CANCEL key.
Then select a different file number.
