Style1 Function (STYLE1)

The STYLE1 Function is used to apply the following text styles:

  • Invert
  • Shadow
  • Solid
  • Outline
  • Bold

The style indicators at the top of the display show the style(s) already set for the text at the location of the cursor, when any setting other than NORMAL is selected.

Style1 Display shows the styles that have already been set

Each of the text styles available with STYLE1 can be combined with each of the text styles available with STYLE2.

The STYLE1 settings may be changed globally, for a block, or for individual lines.

To change the STYLE1 setting:

1 ) Place the cursor in the block or line of text to be formatted (this is not required for global formatting).

2 ) Hold down the CODE key and press either the GLOBAL, BLOCK or LINE keys.

NOTE

9600KI User Notes This step may be skipped if the settings for several format functions are being applied at the same time.

3 ) Press the left/right cursor keys until STYLE1 is displayed. A sample of the style can be seen on the right side of the display.

4 ) Use the up/down cursor keys to select the desired style. When you are finished selecting settings, push the RETURN key to apply the style setting.

To return to the text without making any changes, push the CANCEL key.

NOTE

9600KI User Notes If "*****" appears as a setting, the STYLE1 function has already been applied to part of the current text. For example:

A line in the current block has a STYLE1 set, if the Block or Global format function is being set.

OR

A block has a STYLE1 set, if the Global Format function is being set.

Changing the setting will cancel the setting that was previously applied.

9600KI User Notes To return the function to its default setting (NORMAL), press the space bar.

9600KI User Notes To apply several format settings, continue to use the left/right and up/down cursor keys to make selections until you have selected all of the desired settings.

Only after all settings have been selected should the RETURN key be pushed to apply those settings.
