Tape Length Function (T. LENGTH)
Although the length of the printed label automatically
adjusts to fit the length of the text, there may
be times when you want to make a label with a specific
length. The TAPE LENGTH function allows you to set
the label length between 0.25" and 38.84"
(0.6 cm and 99.5 cm).
The current Tape Length setting is shown in the
lower-left corner of the display. In the example
below the Tape Length is set to "AUTO".

| NOTE |
|
The
Label Length setting can only be applied to
labels printed on tape. The label length of
die-cut labels can not be adjusted.
|
To change the Label Length setting:
Hold
down the CODE key and press the GLOBAL key.
| NOTE |
|
This
step may be skipped if the settings for several
format functions are being applied at the same
time.
|
Press
the left/right cursor keys until T.LENGTH is displayed.
The current setting is shown in the left center of
the display. A diagram illustrating the tape length
measurement is shown on the right side of the display.

Use
the up/down cursor keys to select the desired tape
length setting. Or use the number keys to type in
the desired tape length. Press RETURN to save this
setting.
To return to the text without making any changes,
push the CANCEL key.
| NOTE |
|
To
change the setting in 0.1" (1.0 cm) steps,
hold down either the up or down cursor key until
the desired setting is reached.
To
return the function to its default setting (AUTO),
press the space bar.
The
tape length is displayed in the currently selected
unit of measurement (inches or centimeters).
The unit of measurement can be changed with
the Setup Functions.
|
| NOTE |
|
To
apply several format settings, continue to use
the left/right and up/down cursor keys to make
selections until you have selected all of the
desired settings.
Only after all settings have
been selected should the RETURN key be pushed
to apply those settings.
