Tape Margin Function (T. MARGIN)

The TAPE MARGIN function allows you to adjust the size of the margins on the left and right sides of your text. The label margins can be set to a width between 0.8" and 4.00" (0.2cm and 9.9 cm).

The current Tape Margin setting is shown at the bottom of the display (circled in yellow below).

Tape Margin may be applied globally.

NOTE

9600KI User Notes The Tape Margin setting can only be applied to labels printed on tape. The tape margins for die-cut labels are fixed at 0.20" (0.5 cm) and can not be adjusted, even if this setting is changed.

To change the tape margin setting:

1 ) Hold down the CODE key and press the GLOBAL key.

NOTE

9600KI User Notes This step may be skipped if the settings for several format functions are being applied at the same time.

2 ) Press the left/right cursor keys until T.MARGIN is displayed. The current setting is shown in the left center of the display. A diagram showing the location of the Tape Margin is shown on the right side of the display.

3 ) Use the up/down cursor keys to select the desired margin setting. Or use the number keys to type in the desired margin width. Press RETURN to save this setting.

To return to the text without making any changes, push the CANCEL key.

NOTE

9600KI User Notes To change the setting in 0.1" (1.0 cm) steps, hold down either the up or down cursor key until the desired setting is reached.

9600KI User Notes To return the function to its default setting (0.16 inch), press the space bar.

9600KI User Notes The tape margins are displayed in the currently selected unit of measurement (inches or centimeters). The unit of measurement can be changed with the Setup Functions.

9600KI User Notes To apply several format settings, continue to use the left/right and up/down cursor keys to make selections until you have selected all of the desired settings.

Only after all settings have been selected should the RETURN key be pushed to apply those settings.
