Tape Margin Function (T. MARGIN)
The TAPE MARGIN function allows you to adjust the
size of the margins on the left and right sides
of your text. The label margins can be set to a
width between 0.8" and 4.00" (0.2cm and
9.9 cm).
The current Tape Margin setting is shown at the
bottom of the display (circled in yellow below).

Tape Margin may be applied globally.
| NOTE |
|
The
Tape Margin setting can only be applied to labels
printed on tape. The tape margins for die-cut
labels are fixed at 0.20" (0.5 cm) and
can not be adjusted, even if this setting is
changed.
|
To change the tape margin setting:
Hold
down the CODE key and press the GLOBAL key.
| NOTE |
|
This
step may be skipped if the settings for several
format functions are being applied at the same
time.
|
Press
the left/right cursor keys until T.MARGIN is displayed.
The current setting is shown in the left center of
the display. A diagram showing the location of the
Tape Margin is shown on the right side of the display.

Use
the up/down cursor keys to select the desired margin
setting. Or use the number keys to type in the desired
margin width. Press RETURN to save this setting.
To return to the text without making any changes,
push the CANCEL key.
| NOTE |
|
To
change the setting in 0.1" (1.0 cm) steps,
hold down either the up or down cursor key until
the desired setting is reached.
To
return the function to its default setting (0.16
inch), press the space bar.
The
tape margins are displayed in the currently
selected unit of measurement (inches or centimeters).
The unit of measurement can be changed with
the Setup Functions.
|
| NOTE |
|
To
apply several format settings, continue to use
the left/right and up/down cursor keys to make
selections until you have selected all of the
desired settings.
Only after all settings have
been selected should the RETURN key be pushed
to apply those settings.
