Text Alignment Function (ALIGNMENT)

Text can be aligned in one of four ways:

Text justification options.

In addition, if the TEXT ROTATION function is set to OFF, the text will align within the length set by the Block Length Function. If the TEXT ROTATION function is set to any setting other than OFF, the text will align within the width of the tape. The alignment of the text at the cursor's current position is shown at the top of the display.

The 9600Ki Text Alignment Function

Text alignment may be applied globally, for a block, or for individual lines.

To change the setting for text alignment:

1 ) Place the cursor in the block or line of text to be aligned (this is not required for global alignment in which everything on the label will have the same alignment applied).

2 ) Hold down the CODE key and press either the GLOBAL, BLOCK or LINE keys.

NOTE

9600KI User Notes This step may be skipped if the settings for several format functions are being applied at the same time.

3 ) Press the left/right cursor keys until ALIGNMENT is displayed. A set of bars, on the right side of the display, will illustrate the alignment. On the display shown above, left justification is selected.

4 ) Use the up/down cursor keys to select the desired alignment. When you have the alignment you want displayed, push the RETURN key to apply the alignment.

To return to the text without making any changes, push the CANCEL key.

NOTE

9600KI User Notes If "*****" appears as a setting, the Text Alignment function has already been applied to part of the current text. For example:

A line in the current block has a text alignment set, and if a Block or Global alignment is being set.

OR

A block has a text alignment set, and a Global text alignment is being set.

Changing the setting will cancel the setting that was previously applied.

9600KI User Notes To return the function to its default setting (LEFT), press the space bar.

9600KI User Notes To apply several format settings, continue to use the left/right and up/down cursor keys to make selections until you have selected all of the desired settings.

Only after all settings have been selected should the RETURN key be pushed to apply those settings.
