Text Rotation Function (ROTATE)
When the TEXT ROTATION function is applied to a
text block, it will be rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise.
By selecting the &REPEAT setting, the text is
repeatedly printed for the length of the text block.
When any setting other than OFF is selected for
the text at the cursor's current position, the Text
Rotation indicator at the top of the display comes
on (circled in yellow below).

Text rotation may be applied globally,
for a block, or for
individual lines.
To change the text rotation setting:
Place
the cursor in the block or line of text to be aligned
(this is not required for global alignment in which
everything on the label will have the same alignment
applied).
Hold
down the CODE key and press either the GLOBAL, BLOCK
or LINE keys.
| NOTE |
|
This
step may be skipped if the settings for several
format functions are being applied at the same
time.
|
Press
the left/right cursor keys until ROTATE is displayed.
The setting for the text at the cursor's current position
is shown in the left center of the display. A sample
is shown on the right side of the display.

Use
the up/down cursor keys to select the desired text
rotation. When you have the rotation set the way you
want, push the RETURN key to apply the alignment.
To return to the text without making any changes,
push the CANCEL key.
| NOTE |
|
If
"*****" appears as a setting, rotation
has already been applied to part of the current
text. For example:
A line in the current block
is already rotated, and a Block or Global frame
is being rotated.
OR
A block has been rotated,
and a Global frame is being set to be rotated.
Changing the setting will
cancel the setting that was previously applied.
To
return the function to its default setting (OFF),
press the space bar.
|
| NOTE |
|
To
apply several format settings, continue to use
the left/right and up/down cursor keys to make
selections until you have selected all of the
desired settings.
Only after all settings have
been selected should the RETURN key be pushed
to apply those settings.
