The display stays blank after you have turned on
the machine, or abnormal characters are displayed.
Check that the AC adapter is connected.
Check that the rechargeable Ni-MH battery is properly
charged.
Reset the machine by pressing the reset button in the
battery compartment at the bottom of the machine. This
will require a very small screw driver, or an unbent
paper clip, as the reset button is recessed.
Pushing the reset button will result in all text and
formats in the display being erased.
