The power on/off key is located in the upper-right corner of the machine's keyboard.
Press the on/off key to turn on or turn off the 9600Ki.
If the 9600Ki has remained plugged in, the previous session's text is displayed when the machine is turned
on again. This feature allows work on a label to be stopped, the machine turned off, and then work on the label resumed at a later time.
If the 9600Ki is being operated from its rechargeable battery, the machine will automatically turn off is
no key is pressed or no operation is performed for five minutes.

Do not unplug the AC adapter if the 9600Ki is plugged in and turned on, otherwise the data being edited
will be erased. Be sure to turn off the 9600Ki before unplugging the AC adapter.
A 9600Ki operating from its rechargeable batteries will automatically turn off if no key is pressed
or no operation is performed for five minutes. However, if the 9600Ki is in Transfer mode or
Interface mode, it will wait 30 minutes before automatically turning off if no operation is performed.
If the 9600Ki is connected to a computer through a serial (RS-232C) interface cable or is printing
data from the computer, it will not automatically turn off.
If the 9600Ki is connected to a computer through a USB interface cable and is printing data from
the computer, the 9600Ki will not automatically turn off.
