WARNING:
Before updating your ProImage XL3000 PosterPrinter
Interface and drivers, please contact us (Call ) to purchase an upgrade to GalaRio
1.1, part number Y91146. GalaRio 1.01 is not compatible
with this update.
Note: If you purchased a ProImage XL3000
PosterPrinter with an interface kit prior to
October 23, 2001, or if the part number of your
interface kit is 17621-00, you will need this
update. The instructions below will result in
your machine being upgraded to be compatible
with Windows 95/98/NT4.0 and 2000.
1. Select the ppxl3000_interface_update.exe
download link and the following screen will
appear:
2. Next select Save This Program To
Disk and click on the OK button.
3. You will then be prompt to select
a location to SAVE this file, please note the
name and location of where the file is downloading.
4. After choosing a location, click
on the SAVE button.
5. Once the file has completed downloading,
use Windows Explorer to relocate the file and
double click it.
6. A prompt will appear requesting where
to unzip the files. We recommend using the default
location (C:\XL3000_Update).
7. Next select the Unzip button.
8. After the file has completed the unzipping
process, using windows explorer relocate the
new folder, the default folder was (C:\XL3000_Update)
and open it. The XL3000_Update folder should
contain three subfolders Firmware, Print_Driver,
and User_Guide.
9. Next open the Firmware folder and
double click the Read Me file. This document
will step you thru the Interface firmware update
process. On completion of the Firmware Update
proceed to the User_Guide folder.
10. In the User_Guide folder you will
find the Interface Kit User's Guide. The User's
Guide covers the ProImage Plus3000/XL30000 Interface
board and the Windows 95/98/ME/NT4.0/2000 print
driver installations and operation. To view
or print this file, it is required that you
have Adobe's Acrobat Reader installed. The latest
version of Acrobat Reader can be downloaded
from the following link. http://www.adobe.com/
11. See Chapter 2 Pages 10-24 of the
Interface User's Guide for instruction on installing
the XL3000 print driver for your operating system.
12. During the installation of the print
driver you will be prompt to insert the manufacture's
disk. This is Step 6 on Win95/98/NT4.0 and Step
7 on Windows 2000 from the Interface Kit User's
Guide. For this step enter in the following
path C:\XL3000_Update\Print_Driver and then
select OK.
13. If the following prompt appears,
you will need to select replace existing driver
and then select Next.
14. Complete the remainder of the print
driver installation.
15. You have now successfully completed
the ProImage XL3000 PosterPrinter Interface
Updates. Your system will now support the following
Windows operating systems Win95, 98, NT4.0 and
2000.
Note: With the new print driver now
installed, GalaRio 1.01 will have to be uninstalled
before installing GalaRio 1.1 to utilize the
new print driver.
