Improper handling of An Emergency Situation

Reasons for fine: Workers handling a spill cleanup weren’t properly trained and weren’t wearing appropriate protective equipment.

Note: Following a 33-gal. Spill of muriatic acid, OSHA cited the company for failing to ensure that employees involved in the cleanup had been properly trained and provided with safety gear. Muriatic acid can cause severe burns.
