Updated Lockout/Tagout Webinar

By Sally Murdoch

Lockout/tagout procedure in effect

A recent survey of arc flash injury victims showed that 94% of those interviewed believed the incident could have been prevented. Of all the different ways of preventing electrical exposure incidents, the most frequently-mentioned method was simply to “turn the power off,” which is the essence of lockout/tagout (LO/TO).

Graphic Products is hosting a webinar entitled Lockout/Tagout for Electrical Safety, to be held Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 10:30 am PST, and will be moderated by Compliance Specialist Brian McFadden. This webinar will show participants how to improve electrical safety for everyone in a facility, especially those working with machinery. Interested participants may watch the lockout tagout webinar, which will be followed by a live Q&A session.

Participants will learn about:

  • The hazards of electrical work
  • The requirements and recommendations that affect that work
  • Building a lockout/tagout program to meet requirements
  • Alternative steps to take when lockout/tagout simply isn’t feasible

You can visit the Graphic Products online store for padlocks, accessories, kits, tags and lockout devices. For a thorough resource on lockout/tagout that you can keep at your fingertips, click on the link for your free lockout tagout guide.
