The #WorkSafe Video Series: DuraLabel Pipe Grabber Sleeves

By Jordy Byrd

Graphic Products has launched the twelfth feature in The WorkSafe Video Series, a new video project which addresses safety best practices and product applications for floor marking, lockout/tagout, lean manufacturing, chemical spills, and OSHA's general safety standards.

The video examines the DuraLabel Pipe Grabber Sleeves, which help mark pipes that are too rusted, worn, grimy, or greasy for a traditional label. Pipe grabber sleeves are clear plastic sleeves that curl around pipes. They provide a clean surface, allowing labels to be applied to pipes that are covered by insulation or are otherwise in a condition that prevents label adhesion. Pipe marking sleeves are permanently curled so they cling tightly around pipes, or for additional security they can be secured using plastic ties.

Pipe marking is an important part of ensuring ANSI-ASME compliance at any facility, and pipe grabber sleeves ensure workers are aware of pipe contents, potential hazards, and direction of flow. Graphic Products also offers a complimentary Pipe Marking Guide, which can be used as a safety training resource or visual communication tool.

Each short segment in The WorkSafe Video Series is hosted by Graphic Products spokesperson Garrett Courtney. The series highlights the benefits of a particular product or safety solution and its workplace applications. Examples include vinyl labels used for arc flash communication and lockout/tagout tags used on energized equipment. The video series is available online at the Graphic Products YouTube Channel. Subscribe to the YouTube channel for an extensive playlist of complimentary webinars, industrial safety tutorials, and safety resources.
