How to Create Floor Marking Corners

03 February, 2023

In this video, we'll demonstrate how to successfully create corners of any angle using PathFinder floor marking tape. To skip ahead, use the annotations located at the bottom of the screen.

To create a 90 degree corner, begin with two perpendicular PathFinder tape lines. Align a straight edge at 45 degrees on both lines. Using a sharp blade, cut both lines along the straight edge-repeat if needed. Remove the top piece, then remove the bottom piece by peeling back the top layer and finally re-applying the end pieces.

Apply pressure to smooth out any troubled spots and your 90 degree angle is complete. Remember that once PathFinder tape has been successfully installed, allow 24 hours for the adhesive backing to fully cure for heavy use.

To create an obtuse angled corner, start with two PathFinder tape lines, ensuring that both lines overlap completely. Then, using a straight edge and a sharp blade, cut from the outside to the inside crossing points of the tape. Remove the top piece, then remove the bottom piece by peeling back the top layer and finally re-applying the end pieces.

To create an acute angled corner, start with two PathFinder tape lines, ensuring that both tape lines overlap completely. Then, using a straight edge and a sharp blade, cut from the outside to the inside crossing points of the tapes.

Acute angles require the longest cuts on the tape and may require multiple passes with the sharp blade. Remove the bottom piece by peeling back the top layer and finally re-applying the end pieces. Apply pressure to smooth out any troubled spots and your acute angle is complete.
